Before I met her, I didn't care much about art. I thought it was frivolous and unimportant, a hobby for the rich. I had heard of her before meeting her, mutual friends had told me that she was an artist, and that was all I really knew about her.
We ended up finally meeting at our mutual friends house, (no it wasn't a set-up, hook-up, or a date). My first words to her were: "So, aren't you supposed to be an artist or something?" To which she replied with a big smile, "Yup, I sure am!".
We ended up seeing each other, and were soon very much in love. Most of the time we spent with each other we went to parks, beaches, local iconic places,..sketching, drawing, seeing, learning.
She taught me everything. Not because I wanted to learn art, but because her enthusiasm was contagious. I learned how to see through an artists eye, she taught me the hand skills, color, inks, acrylics, she gave me all the tools I use today to do what I do.
She's a member here, her screen-name is: kikisang3ls
I want to thank her here, among other artists, for art has truly saved me. If it wasn't for her, and the tools she gave me, I'm sure that I wouldn't be here typing this.
for being you,
for taking the time
for loving art, as you do,
for saving my life,
I'm calm now,
Thank You again,
for doing what you do.
